The free couples compatibility test you take separately
44 questions each, answered on your own, with nothing shared until you both say so. Then you see where your two accounts of the relationship agree, where they differ, and where one of you has been quietly misreading the other.
No card, no trial, no results held back. An account exists only because two private sets of answers need somewhere private to live.
At a glance
- 44 questions, about 12 minutes
- Progress saves as you go. Stop and come back whenever.
- Two accounts, one session
- You invite your partner with a private link. They answer on their own device.
- Nothing shared without consent
- Results appear only after you have each agreed to compare.
- No compatibility percentage
- No single score, no verdict, no winner.
What it asks
Three kinds of question, and the third is the interesting one
- 01
How things are for you
Whether you feel heard in a disagreement. Whether the division of work at home feels workable. Your answer, about your own experience — not a judgement of your partner.
- 02
How much something matters to you
Two people can want very different amounts of time alone and be entirely compatible. A difference in what you each need is only a problem when neither of you knows about it.
- 03
What you think your partner said
A handful of questions ask you to guess their answer. The distance between your guess and their actual answer is the perception gap, and it is usually where a recurring argument has been hiding.
The Relationship Mirror
Four answers to every question that counts
How you see it. How they see it. How you think they see it. How they think you see it. The first two are rarely a surprise. The gap between the last two and the first two usually is.
Worked example
“I feel comfortable telling my partner when something they did upset me.”
- You answered: 4 of 5.
- They guessed you would say: 2 of 5.
Neither of you is wrong. But one of you has been walking on eggshells over a problem that the other does not think exists.
What the page says about it
That they expected you to find this harder than you do — and that it is worth saying out loud, because they may be managing a version of you that is more fragile than the real one.
- Shown in both directions, so neither person is the subject.
- Describes the difference, never assigns the fault.
- Worked out by fixed rules in code, so it is identical every time.

Why answering separately is safe
An honest answer has to be a private one
- Your partner cannot see your raw answers
- Not during the test and not afterwards. This is enforced in the database, not only in the interface — there is no request a partner can make that returns your individual responses.
- They can see how far through you are
- A count of answered questions, so neither of you is left guessing whether the other has started. Never the content.
- Free text is shared only if you choose
- The few open questions are yours by default. You decide, per session, whether they go into the comparison.
- Either of you can stop at any point
- Stopping deletes the comparison and does not require the other person's agreement, or ours. Your own answers stay yours until you delete them.
The specifics are in the privacy policy.
Limits, stated plainly
What this test cannot do
This questionnaire describes what the two of you reported on one particular day. It is not a clinical assessment, it cannot predict whether a relationship will last, and it does not establish that either person is at fault for anything.
- It is not therapy, counselling or a clinical assessment, and it is not a substitute for any of them.
- It cannot diagnose anybody, and it will never describe your partner as a personality type or a condition.
- It cannot tell you whether to stay or leave. Nobody who has only read forty answers should.
- It has no opinion on who started it.
Yes, entirely. All forty questions and the full comparison of your results are free, for both of you. There is no card required, no trial that quietly becomes a subscription, and no important section withheld until you pay. There is one optional paid extra — a longer Advanced Couples Report — but the core test and your results do not depend on it.
One of you has to go first. That is the only hard part.
Create your account, answer your 44 questions, and send your partner the link whenever you are ready. Nothing is shared until you have both finished and both agreed.
