Two people.
Two perspectives.
One clearer understanding.
Answer 44 questions separately from your partner. Then see where your answers meet, where they genuinely differ, and the few things worth actually talking about this week.
- About 12 minutes
- answered separately
- Private by default
- your partner never sees your answers
- No single score
- no invented percentage
The statement
“I feel supported when something goes wrong in my life.”
Partner A answered
5 of 5
Partner B answered
2 of 5
Partner A predicted Partner B would answer
5 of 5
Perception gap of 3 points
One of you is finding real support here; the other is not, and that difference hasn't surfaced yet. It usually means support is being offered in a form that isn't landing — not that it's missing.
Illustrative example with made-up numbers. Your own results are calculated from your answers by fixed rules — never by an AI model, and never scored as a single verdict.
The actual problem
Most couples aren't incompatible. They're under-informed about each other.
You have probably had the same disagreement more than once. Not because either of you is unreasonable, but because you are each solving a slightly different problem — and neither of you has said out loud which one.
Meanwhile you both carry a mental model of the other person. It was accurate once. Then one of you changed, quietly, and the model did not get updated.
“I thought you knew that bothered me.”
Between Us does one narrow, useful thing: it gets both of your answers on the table at the same time, without either of you having to go first.
How it works
Four steps, and you can stop at any of them
No single verdict at the end. No scoreboard. Just two honest sets of answers, put next to each other.
One of you starts, and invites the other
You create a session and get a private link to send however you like. Your partner opens it and makes their own account — two accounts, because two private sets of answers is the whole point.
You both answer, separately
44 short questions across 12 areas of a relationship. Some ask how things are for you. A few ask how you think they are for your partner. Nobody sees anything from the other while answering.
You both agree to compare
Results only appear once you have each said yes. Either of you can stop a session, withdraw that agreement, or delete your answers — at any point, without asking the other.
You read it together
Where you align, where you differ, where one of you misread the other, and three specific things worth discussing. In plain language, with nobody cast as the problem.
The Relationship Mirror
Four answers to every question that matters
How you see it. How they see it. How you think they see it. How they think you see it.
The interesting information is almost never in the first two. It is in the gap between what one of you assumed and what the other actually said — the perception gap. That gap is where most recurring arguments live, and it is invisible from inside the relationship.
- Shows both directions. Each of you may be misreading something different.
- Calculated by fixed rules in code, never by an AI model — so it is identical every time.
- Describes the difference without assigning fault to either of you.
An example of what it does not say
Never
“Partner B is emotionally unavailable. You are 72% incompatible.”
Instead
“You answered this very differently, and one of you expected the other to answer the way they did. Worth ten minutes: what does feeling supported actually look like for each of you?”
No diagnoses, no percentages pretending to be science, no verdict on either person. Those are hard rules in the product, not a tone preference.
What free actually means here
Your results are not behind a paywall. Not the good half, either.
Included, no payment
- The complete 40-question couples compatibility test
- Private answering — your partner never sees your raw answers
- Your full comparison results, including every category
- Areas of agreement and areas of difference
- Perception gaps from the Relationship Mirror
- Three discussion topics written from your answers

- Weekly check-ins and saved history
The honest trade-off
- Shows ads on some pages
- Deeper interpretation and the 30-day plan are in the paid report
Ads never appear on your answers, your results, your reports or anything you write in a reflection box. Those pages load no advertising scripts at all.
On your own
Some questions you want to think about before you say them out loud
Individual tests are free, need no account, and are answered only by you. They describe patterns in what you have told us. They do not diagnose you, and they will never tell you what your partner is.
A limit worth stating up front.
A questionnaire cannot tell you whether someone has a personality disorder, and we will not pretend otherwise. Tests that touch on manipulation, control or narcissistic traits describe behaviour you reported and point you toward a professional. They do not label an absent person.
Relationship tools
For when the problem is one specific thing
Short, structured tools for a single argument, a single assumption, or something you have not managed to say yet.
Privacy
This only works if you can be honest. So it is built to make honesty safe.
Your partner never sees your raw answers
Not during, not after. This is enforced in the database itself, not just in the interface: there is no query a partner can run that returns your individual responses.
Nothing is compared until you both say yes
And either of you can withdraw that agreement afterwards. Stopping a session does not require your partner's permission or notification.
No advertising on anything private
Your answers, results, conflict narratives and reflections are served with no ad scripts and no tracking. That is a code-level rule, not a setting.
You can export everything we hold about you, or delete your account entirely, from your settings — no email required, no retention trick. Read the privacy policy if you want the specifics.
What you get back
Specific enough to act on. Not so confident it starts a fight.
Every results page ends with three discussion topics written from your actual answers — not generic advice. They name the area, why it came up for you two specifically, and a question to open with.
You will also see which rating items you answered within one point of each other, stated as a plain count. We are not going to turn your relationship into a percentage.
Sample discussion topic
How much time apart is normal for us
Why this came up: you both said you need a similar amount of time alone, but each of you assumed the other needed less. Neither of you is asking for distance.
Try opening with: “When I take an evening to myself, what does that look like from where you are sitting?”
Wording like this is generated from the pattern in your answers by fixed rules. The optional paid report adds longer written interpretation, and it is clearly labelled where a section is AI-written.
Reading
Written for the conversation, not for the search engine
If you want more
One optional report, at the price of a coffee
The free results tell you where you stand. The Advanced Couples Report goes further: longer interpretation of every category, a closer read on each perception gap, and a 30-day plan with weekly check-ins.
It is a one-time payment, it does not renew, and it permanently removes ads from your account.
Advanced Couples Report

- Expanded explanation of every category, in context
- A closer look at each perception gap and what it tends to mean
- Conversation prompts written around your specific answers

- Patterns that commonly lead to misunderstanding between you
- A 7-day communication plan
Lifetime ad-free applies to the purchasing account only. Your partner keeps free access to the report, but does not receive the ad-free benefit.
Yes, entirely. All forty questions and the full comparison of your results are free, for both of you. There is no card required, no trial that quietly becomes a subscription, and no important section withheld until you pay. There is one optional paid extra — a longer Advanced Couples Report — but the core test and your results do not depend on it.
You do not have to be in trouble to want to understand each other better.
Twelve minutes each, answered honestly, apart. Then one conversation you have been circling for a while.
Between Us is a reflection tool. It is not therapy, counselling or a clinical assessment. If you are in immediate danger, please use these resources instead.
